How To Overwrite Building Scenes Published in ArcGIS Online To Update Models in GeoBIM Project

Hello, everyone!

I have an ArcGIS GeoBIM Project created with building scenes published in ArcGIS Online. The scenes' sources are revit files from my ACC account.

I have updated the design of the model in my ACC account. Using my ArcGIS Pro project, I clicked the Refresh From Source button of the downloaded local copy of the model to update what I see in Pro based on the changes made in my ACC account. Now, I also need to see the updates in my ArcGIS GeoBIM Project. I could recreate the SLPKs of the models and then readd them as items in ArcGIS Online. However, the process will create new scene layers in ArcGIS Online. What I need is just to overwrite the published building scene layers that are already consumed by my web scene and used in my GeoBIM Project.

Do you have any idea on how to overwrite building scene layers? Or is there another way to address this concern? Thank you in advance for answering.

Hi @jantolihao ,

as mentioned above by @AbdulmoneamKharsa you can replace a scene layer if you publish them from an SLPK (or published from referenced scene caches in folder or cloud data stores). There are two ways replacing it:

  1. In ArcGIS Pro: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/replace-a-web-scene-layer.htm
  2. In ArcGIS Online: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/manage-hosted-scene-layers.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_CF8...

I hope this helps you to move forward.

PS. You can also have a look at the "Edit a building layer" tutorial, which might help you with related editing tasks.
