The October 2025 release of ArcGIS GeoBIM introduces enhancements to existing tools and capabilities, along with expanded support for new Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) regions.
Add Document Model Tool (Beta) – Improved Location and Alignment
The Add Document Model tool (still in beta) creates simplified 3D models from Autodesk Revit and IFC files. In this release, several key improvements have been made:
- Model Alignment: Improved accuracy of alignment for models with different internal origins, reducing manual adjustments.
- Editing Experience: More intuitive editing, with models now anchored by their geometric center.
- Web Mercator Support: Web Mercator can now be used directly as an input coordinate system.
- Simplified Model Optimization: Faster performance in web scenes while maintaining high visual accuracy.
- Error Handling: Clearer and more helpful error messages during 3D service creation for easier troubleshooting.
Improved Editor & Table Widgets
- Improved Drawing: Quickly draw and edit polyline or polygon features with built-in circular, rectangular, and freehand shapes.
- Streamlined Feature Management: Easily review, locate, and remove unsaved features directly from the Editor widget.
- Flexible Export in Table Widget: Export table data to SHP, FGDB, or KML formats for seamless data sharing and analysis.
Support for new Autodesk Construction Cloud regions
ArcGIS GeoBIM now supports additional Autodesk Construction Cloud regions. In addition to the existing US, EU, and AUS/APAC regions, GeoBIM now includes GBR, DEU, JPN, CAN, and IND regions.
