How do you make an Operational Layer unselectable in an ArcGIS Mobile environment?

Is there a way to make a "cached" Operational Layer unselectable in my ArcGIS Mobile project?

I would have liked to have placed this layer under my Base Map Layers, however, I do not have access to a GIS Server at the moment and ArcGIS Mobile v.10 doesn't allow cached Layers from an MXD to be placed in a Base Map Layer anymore.

Any suggestions????

A layer with GLOBAL ID is selectable.

A layer withtout GLOABAL ID is viewable.

Maybe that could do it for you.

I ended up just making them "Unsearchable" in my Mobile Project Center, and that helped alleviate my issue.
