Hi,

I have a set of ECW files in a raster catalogue which i wish to view on an android phone.

Can anyone recommend a method to get these on to a phone to view

or

any application that will run on an android phone and supports arc gis data formats?

Perhaps there is another platform which I can easily convert data to and view in.

Thanks,

Liam

There is an ArcGIS KML converter, and some Android phones can install Google Maps, which supports KML files.

Will gvSig work on an Android device? This is a program that runs on Java so perhaps it's worth checking on. ECW support is there. You might want to mosaic your ECW tiles into a single ECW. Compared to other formats, ECW works very well on memory and processor limited devices.

You can view geo-tiffs/JPG's/ECW/MRSids etc created in a GIS using Oziexplorers Android BETA version.

Waypoints can be saved as SHP files and tracks as polygons should it be needed.
