Measure Tool

Has anybody had any luck getting the measure tool to work?  When I use the measure tool to either draw a line or draw out an area.  The little timer appears, and just keeps turning over, no measurement values appear.

Are there only certain map types that can be used for the Measure Tool?

Yes, I use the measure tool (and freehand polygon tool also) all the time and do not have any problems with it.  It sounds like you may have a problem with the setup of your geometry service.

Thanks for your response Mark.  I wasn't aware of the geometry service, but can now see it referenced in the documentation.  I will double check how this is set up - hopefully it will fix my problem!
