Change Logs for SharePoint

Hello SharePoint Users! We are pleased to let you know of some major feature enhancements as well as bug fixes in the latest release of ArcGIS for SharePoint for June 2023.

To see these changes and maximize the possibility of the new enhancements in this release, make sure you have the latest version of ArcGIS for SharePoint installed.

 

Users can now use the reset connection button to change the portal connection after adding the ArcGIS SharePoint extension to a SharePoint Site

Before this release, users can only configure the URL of the Sign in to use ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise prior to working with the extension in the SharePoint site.

With this release, Users can use the reset connection to change the Portal connection after adding the ArcGIS for SharePoint web part to a SharePoint Site.

Limit the ArcGIS for SharePoint users to connect with external ArcGIS Enterprise Systems - Remove the "Enter URL address" option while using pre-configured ArcGIS account Login.

Although,

SharePoint users to connect with external ArcGIS orgs (both online and Enterprise). Remove the "Enter URL address" option while using pre-configured ArcGIS account Login.

Other enhancements include:

  • Map sharing is now disabled for SharePoint page viewers.
  • The edit/delete button in the "List Map" feature is only available for site owner / site admin.
  • Infographics error message now has a more informative message.

Bug Fixes

To make your work flows more streamlined and support the efficiency of your time in SharePoint, the following fixes are included:

  • When a web part is removed, the connection now gets reset. The "Validate" button and result from the previous validation gets removed.
