Currently when you filter records in your Excel table, those records are also filtered in the map - a nice feature! But when you style the layer by either color or size, the classifications reflect the entire data table, not the filtered records. For example, if you have a table with with a numerical attribute that has a min/max of 0 and 1000, and you filter that table so that the min/max is now 0 to 100, the classifications in the colors and sizes will still be based on 0 and 1000. It would be nice to have the styling classifications change to reflect a filtered data set.

Thanks for adding this - this feels like a bug to me, we will look into this.

Solution -

To update layer styling dynamically based on filtered or subset of your data, there are two ways:

1. Export the filtered data to a new Excel sheet, then create a new layer and apply the desired layer styling to the new layer.

2. Use the spatial filter tool to create a new layer, then apply the desired layer styling to the new layer.
