Units Conversion - meters to inches

In ArcMAP 10.5 how to switch units from metric to Imperial? I have contours which are in metric and client wants it in imperial and export to AutoCAD

You do realize that the best that could happen is that the existing contour lines would just have the new units shown which would look a bit strange.  Or does the client want the data reinterpolated to using inches as the contouring and labelling unit?

Also, how are the contours being labelled at present?

I agree with Dan_Patterson‌, however, if you have the raster that the contours were created from you'd be able to change units by using the Z Factor on the tool.
