Not Able to View ESRI Basemaps When Org. Custom Basemap is used in Field Maps (IOS) 25.2.4 or 25.2.5

Does anyone use Custom Basemaps in their AGOL organization?  If so, are you experiencing the same Bug after the Field Maps 25.2.4 and 25.2.5 (IOS) patches.

Details:

At Pierce County, Washington, we have numerous custom basemaps.  If our web map that we use in Field Maps has our custom basemap saved in ArcGIS Online map viewer, then we can see all of our other custom basemaps in Field Maps, but all of the ESRI Basemaps are unavailable.  If I go to select an ESRI basemap under the heading that says "Unavailable," it says, "Basemap Unavailable - The spatial reference isn't compatible with this map."

On the flipside, if we have a web map that that uses an ESRI Basemap, when we open this web map in Field Maps, we are able to view all of ESRI's basemaps, but all of our custom basemaps are "Unavailable."

Note:  The following bug was fixed in 25.2.4 (but the above bug is a different Bug):

BUG-000179914 - The ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app v. 25.2 is generating error "Basemap Unavailable The spatial reference isn't compatible with this map." when trying to switch to a sideloaded .tpk basemap with the same spatial reference as the current map.

Check out this thread here, sounds like your issue is the same as we're experiencing. The Next Gen Field Maps update stripped this functionality

Hi @GregHeintz1 , to clarify, are you only running into this issue following the patch releases you mentioned? Was this working for you in versions of 25.2.x prior to that? What is the coordinate system of your basemaps and of the layers in your map?

If you have not opened a support case I would do that as well in case a new BUG needs to be logged.

Hey Colin,

Yes, the process of switching basemaps from our Custom basemaps and to ESRI basemaps (and vice versa) worked before Field Maps 25.2.x.  It has worked for years.  There is still an issue with not being able to switch basemaps in 25.2.5.  I have logged a case for the Bug with ESRI and I talked to them yesterday.  I elevated the bug to high priority and the ESRI tech support said there should be a Field Maps patch in the next week or so to rectify the Bug.
