Hi everyone,
I’ve been exploring different compact GNSS options for high-accuracy data collection in mobile GIS workflows. Recently, I came across the Mettatec X5 Mobile, which looks like an interesting alternative for those who need a small, versatile receiver that still supports multi-constellation tracking and RTK.
Before I consider testing it, I’d love to hear if anyone here has already used it in the field — especially in challenging environments such as dense urban areas, forests, or under canopy. How does it integrate with ArcGIS Field Maps or other Esri mobile apps?
Any insights or first-hand experiences would be very helpful!
Hi there!
I didn't know about such GNSS Device. I am going to take a look at it and give feedback.
Thanks anyways for sharing.
PS. How did you come across this brand?
Hi @Julius1966
Ublox ZF9 is a great GNSS for the price. Make sure the housing is reliable and can be serviced. At this price it should still last you couple of years.
