Existing offline area - Refresh or update?

Hi just want to double check here.

If I have a Field Maps that has a managed offline area that teams are using in the field and then I add in new arcade expression into the forms (to an existing field already in the form) the steps I need to take in order to ensure everyone is using the most recent version of the map are:

1. Refresh offline area in Field Maps Designer

2. Tell the field team to go into Field Maps on their phone, open the project, go to On device, select the three dots to the right of the managed offline area already on their device, select sync?

Additional question - Would these steps differ if I was putting more questions into an existing form (field already in the feature service)?

Good morning. When making changes to your offline maps I would recommend the following steps (for the workflow you described above)

1. Have the field team sync any changes they have on their devices

2. Make change to Arcade and save the map.

3. Refresh the offline map area

4. Have teams download the latest offline map/update

If you were to add more questions into your form, that would change the schema. In that case, I would recommend having all field workers sync edits before any changes are made and then remove the current offline areas off their devices. Then you can make your schema changes and recreate your offline areas. Once your new offline areas are ready, field teams can download the new offline areas. Check out the Manage offline map areas section for more details.
