Changes to contingent values

I have set up domains and contingent values together with feature layers in ArcGIS Pro and 'uploaded' to ArcGIS online and then set up Field Map forms and have collected data in the field.

I now what to make some changes (Add and not Delete) to a few domains and contingent values in ArcGIS Pro and then 'sync' with ArcGIS online.  No changes will be required in Field maps due to the nature of the forms.

I have read that I need to use 'overwrite web layer' in ArcGIS pro to make the changes to ArcGIS online for the additional domains and contingent values.

The question is will I lose all the data that has been collected in Field Maps which is stored in ArcGIS online when the feature class is overwritten? If so what is a workaround that can be used to retain the existing data.  Note that the existing data should pass any tests for data integrity since I am only adding domains and contingent values.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Steve_Walker,

If your using a referenced feature service and you want to publish the new changes then you won't lose any of the information.

If it is hosted, then what you will need to do is copy/modify the collected data into the pre-existing local feature class, modify the domains/fields/etc. and then republish as to overwrite the data in AGO.
