Bad quality photo

Hi, I use the field maps app every day.
In recent time (perhaps with the latest updates) I have noticed that the quality of the uploaded photos is very very bad, even if I set on the maximum size.
On the app I see the photos correctly, but once connected to arcgis online, the photos have a very bad quality.
How can I solve the problem?

Which platform are you using? iOS or Android?

What setting for the photo size are you using? "Actual"?

I just tried both and can't reproduce it so I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

I am using Android. I tried using both photo size "extra large" and "actual".
The first photo has a "normal quality" (not so bad), the later ones have a very bad quality.

Are you taking new photos or uploading images that were taken previously? Could you please try:

  • taking new photos in Field Maps
  • upload a photo taken externally from your phone camera app

This is to see if the behavior is reproducible on both workflows.

Also, if possible, please try using another device to see if the behavior is device-specific.

Best regards,

Update.
With the new version of Field Maps the problem seems to be resolved.

Hi Kanin

Do you know if it is possible to connect and external high res camera with Field Maps?

Thank you

Mandy
