Our field staff would greatly benefit from a permanently visible scale bar in the Field Maps map view to help with orientation. During fieldwork, it is often necessary to estimate distances as accurately as possible without having to rely on the rather cumbersome “Measure” function. A scale bar that shows approximate distances at a glance would be extremely helpful. The dynamic scale bar does appear as described during zoom operations on our devices but it disappeares immediately afterwards.
Is there currently a way to permanently display a scale bar in Field Maps? If not, please consider integrating this functionality in a future release.
