option to force maps to update in Field Maps (so we don't have to ask users to click Reload)

Asking end users to do any extra clicking, is a barrier to GIS adoption.    For example, Reloading a map in Field Maps.

Idea: Please add a 'force map to update' option for Field Maps. Where each time Field Maps opens, it checks AGOL or Portal for the webmap and pulls the latest one if it has changed.

Agree with this 100%.  I assume this should probably be able to be toggled on/off at the map level in FM Designer.

Also, on a related topic, users should be alerted when an offline map area is "stale" in this scenario.

Finally, there should be more mechanisms to manage user-defined offline areas at the admin level and downloaded "managed" offline areas.  Hard to troubleshoot issues when a user has eight offline areas made at different times; even harder to troubleshooting when you have 100+ users in the same scenario.  This is more of a problem if there is a schema change to one of the layers/tables in the map, but the offline areas on a device are impossible to manage.  I'm not sure there is a way to manipulate them from their associated replicas - and even if you did, if there were updates on the device that were not synced, it would be dangerous to simply remove those replicas unless there is some other option. Replicas are a bit difficult to mine through to begin with, but that is another semi-related problem.

Probably different ideas above, but they seem related to this one - there are some administrative tools missing in the toolbox here I believe.

In addition to the original idea, I think visibility of "stale" offline maps would be great. I agree that there seem to be many administrative tools that feel missing.
