Field maps: make attachments mandatory (required as other fields)

During inspections and field map collection it might be mandatory to collect an image of the infrastructure.

The idea is to configure that at least one attachment is required.

It must be possible to pre-create points to be inspected with already existing informations (geometry, label etc). Mobile worker in the field fills the other missing fields (required) and takes at least one picture.

There could be a workaround which currently doesn't work (count the number of attachments, write it into a field and make it required).

I also require this functionality. IDEALLY, you could also make it required contingent on values in another field.

Absolutely required. Would be nice to require a photo based on another fields value.

3 years since this post and no comment from ESRI. Do they look at this forum? Would be fantastic to have this and be able to make it contingent on other data values.

We have a Hazardous Vegetation Program and pictures are a must to illustrate the issues found in the field.    We have a meeting concerning this program and I would love to be able to tell our Fire Department that this would be ready for them to use.

We just handed over two Field Maps inventory/inspection apps to a customer yesterday and told them to always take at least one photo of each new or inspected item.  They agreed, though I doubt if the changing carousel of people (interns) doing the work will be told and remember each time.  Requiring photos would be a great addition to the software.

Also looking for this solution and can't believe it's been available for so long in Survey123 and is still lacking within Field Maps..

I also require this functionality in Field Maps Designer.

FYI

If you are using Portal as opposed to AGOL (and have the development skills), this can be done via an SOI (intercept applyEdits api calls).

Hi Corey,
Thanks so much for the response. Our applications is in AGOL so was hoping for a simple solution. Fortunately this isn't imperative but it would be a "nice to have" option from ESRI.
