Hi, Please add the functionality of User Input Fields similar to how it works in quick capture.
Instead of writing down for every point or line or polygon fields with the same value had the option to declare an input user type. So, for example, the same project number or work process id is the same.
Having this functionality would be incredible! Repeat responses such as project name, user name (we do not have individual user accounts), project number etc are annoying for end-users to add into every single point/line/polygon. Please add this functionality into FieldMaps so end-users have less data entry and make their lives easier...
This functionality would change how we use Field Maps for Damage Assessments. For each event / day in the field our members are required to enter Event Type, Event Number, Agency, Team Name, User Name, etc. Instead of typing these in for every point collected, they could be captured at the launch of Field Maps and automatically added to the form.
We use this functionality in QuickCapture and now that we have it there, I really miss it in Field Maps.
Happy to discuss further and to help test in the Early Adopters program.
I agree this would be really useful to be able to set a templates for the whole session like we can with QuickCapture with project user inputs. An example for biosecurity in New Zealand is entering the lure for trap inspections. It's very slow and tedious having to do this for every trap we inspect. It should be up to the user what they want to default to from a list for default for a particular session as this often changes
