HI!
Is it possible to know the date of the basemap (imagery and Bing Maps). It is important to know when the 'pictures' were taken (month and year)...
Thank you

For the world imagery you can add the service from the ArcGIS online server.

http://services.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/services    World_Imagery

add content --> GIS Services --> New Server Connection

Once added to ArcGIS Explorer,
In the layer properties, enable popups for the service.

Right Click Layer in Table of Contents --> Properties --> Popup Content --> check "Display a popup window"

When you click on the image you will see a popup  window with information about the imagery at the clicked location.   In many places there are multiple scales of imagery, and in those instances you will see a "multi-hit window" allowing you to choose the sublayer you want information about.

After selecting the sublayer you will see a popup window with the imagery information.
