Wanting to sync two maps in one map widget

Hi All, 

I am using version 1.15 Developer Edition.

I can add two maps to the same map widget and that's great, but how do you sync the map extents? 

Right now, both maps work independently of each other, and I feel like that's not how it is supposed to work. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot find the setting to sync the two maps. 

Could it be because they have different coordinate systems?

To keep the extents of two maps in-sync:

1. Add two Map Widgets to your layout and connect them to the webmaps.
2. In Map Widget 1, go to the Action Tab > Message Tab > Add a Trigger > Extent Changes > Map 2 > Pan To.
3. Do the same in Map Widget 2 with the target being Map Widget 1.

Yes! That works great for two map widgets, but is there no way to do it in one map widget holding two maps?

With two maps in the same widget, the maps should sync automatically.

The thumbnails for the maps are a static image and will not change, but clicking them should show the other map correctly panned.

If the maps are not syncing then the problem is likely the mismatched coordinate systems. Possibly separating them into two widgets as above will fix the issue.
