HI all,

Tagging in @DebapriyaPaul as they seem to be related to the templates portion of this post.

I'm attempting to use the Edit widget in ExB to edit a Hosted Table Layer with a Smart Form.

  • I first attempted this without a web map. But there is apparently no way to create a Smart Form (or template) without being in a web map.
  • I put the Table in a Web Map and created a Smart Form. (Still no ability to create a template for the table fwiw)
  • Now I've pointed an edit widget at the web map and I am unable to select the table for use within the widget.

In summary, I can point the edit widget at the table directly but there is no ability to use smart forms or templates. Alternatively I can point the edit widget at the map (where the smart form is?), but then not have access to the table at all.

Has anyone run into this before and have a workaround?

Hi @BlakeMorrison .

I configured a smart form for a table in the webmap.

I added the webmap to an exb app.

I connected the Edit widget to the table in the webmap(not a separate table). The smart form worked.

This solved things. Thank you!

You cannot interact with a Table in a Web Map via the "Interact with a Map widget" option.

You cannot access a Smart Form for a Table via the "Attribute Only" option.

Instead, you must access the Table in the Web Map via the "Attribute Only" option.
