Select Widget Buffer Incorrect Distance

I have a buffer in a Select Widget in ExB on AGOL. However the buffer radius seems to be incorrect. I've tried with both point data and polygon data and the size of the buffer always seems wrong. The examples attached show, for both point and polygon selecting data, that a 5km buffer is really only about 3km. I'm using Intersect Relationship.

Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Thanks for any help.

Hi @DarraghOSullivan,

I think it is the same bug as BUG-000166930 When using the buffer option in the Select widget of ArcGIS Experience Builder, selections made further from the equator differ from those made closer to the equator.

It has been fixed in this release. We will release the new version tomorrow. Please try again. If you encounter any issues, please let me know.

Thanks,

Ke

@DarraghOSullivan I have notice this myself. I use the near me widget instead.

Thanks @JudithWammack , I've tried the Near Me but I do need the Select Widget unfortunately.

@DarraghOSullivan, I use both as well. You can make the Select widget actions interact with the Near Me widget.

Above is a link to our county public interactive map. Give the steps below a try on our map.

These are the steps that an end user will use:

How to Use the Nearby Tool

There are three ways to use the Nearby Tool, depending on your preference:

  1. Using the Search Bar
  1. In the search bar, type an address or parcel ID.
  2. Press Enter or click the search icon.
  3. Once the map updates, open the Nearby Tool.
  4. The tool will automatically identify nearby parcels for you.
  1. Drawing a Custom Area
  1. Zoom into the area of interest on the map.
  2. Open the Nearby Tool.
  3. Click Draw a Polygon.
  4. Draw the shape around the parcels you are interested in.
  5. The tool will find nearby parcels based on your drawn area.
  1. Using the Select Parcel Tool (Recommended)
  1. Zoom into the area of interest on the map.
  2. Open the Parcel Select tool.
  3. Activate Parcel Select by clicking the button in the top-left corner (it should change from white to black).
  4. Click on the parcels you want to select.
  5. Open the Nearby Tool.
  6. The tool will use your selected parcels to find nearby ones.
  7. Keep both Nearby and Select Parcel Tool open to select different parcels after the first select.
