Rearrange fields in web map for experience builder edit widget?

I have an experience builder app that is showing fields in the wrong order in an edit widget (in a widget controller).

I'm aware that I can rearrange the fields in the edit widget, but I would prefer to rearrange the fields in the web map so that the order will be used in other future apps; I just want to set the field order in one place, not multiple places.

Is there a way to define the field order at the web map level? (Pop-ups are disabled in the web map; I don't need them since I'm using the editor widget in Experience Builder.)

Go into Map Viewer, enable pop-ups, order the fields how you like, then disable pop-ups.

If I recall, I couldn't get the pop-up method to be honored in Experience Builder, so I used form configuration instead.
