Mimic "Map Pin and Label" that is in Zone Lookup Instant App

In Exp Builder, I would like the search "result" on the map to closely mimic the "Map Pin and Label" configuration that exists in the Zone Lookup Instant App.

The look on the map I want to achieve in Experience Builder resulting from an address search. The first image below is what the search result looks like in the Zone Lookup using an address.  The addresses are NOT visible (because of speed issues), but the search places a pin with a label at the result location.

For a reference, here is where the settings are made in the Zone Lookup Instant App:

Am I missing something simple in the Search settings in Experience Builder?  The Search layer is one of our self-hosted/served ArcGIS Server layer that is present in the Web Map.  It is not a locator.  

I want to continue to keep the addresses not visible because when they are visible, the app slows down dramatically.

Did you ever find a resolution to this issue? I'm also looking for some options in Experience Builder for customizing the point created by search (and especially interested in finding a way to keep the point on the map after clicking somewhere else).
