I have the pop-ups enabled within the map widget and I would like to keep them on. However, when I start an edit session and click on a feature, the pop-up opens and remains open while I am moving the feature from one place to another. Unfortunately, there are times when I want to move the feature to the area the pop-up is located and it interferes with the process. My current work around is to move the feature to a completely different area, save my edits and then move it again so the pop-up is out of the way. It would be nice if the pop-up temporarily disappeared during this time. Is there a way to do this or a different work around? Or should this be submitted as an enhancement request?
You can either click the button to "dock" the popup to the side, or else you can put a Feature Info widget in your Experience, and the popup will go there instead. The Feature Info widget can be collapsible, out of the map frame, or hidden entirely.
Is there a recommended way to set up a feature info widget if you have multiple layers you want to be able to view attributes for? From the looks of it, you can only have the feature info widget connect to a single layer.
If you first click the 'Select' button in your Edit widget it will suppress the popup. You would need to click it every time you wanted to select a new feature.
If you are on Developer Edition, you can replace the popup entirely with the Feature Panel widget which would be a good workaround for this problem.
