Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to make my list widget blank until someone has searched for their loved one using their last name. Right now it is defaulting by what I assume is object ID. I tried filtering those out but then nothing comes up when searching. This is a cemetery map that I'm trying to create for the Town and don't want extra information coming up that may confuse the public.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I think the set up you want goes something like this:

  1. Add a Search Widget and set it up with a Layer Source based on your data.
  2. Give the Search Widget a Records Created > Select Records Action.
  3. Set your List Widget to work on Selected Records.

@JeffreyThompson2  This is super helpful and really close to what I'm trying to accomplish. Is there a way that you know of that when you search for someone's last name like "Hall" that the list produces all of those with the last name Hall?

The selected route is already much cleaner than before, so thank you for that.
