How to get table widget to support web map layer settings and calculated fields?

I have a table formatted in a WAB application with things like integer -> phone number formatting, city and state fields concatenated, etc. Experience Builder still does not seem to support these changes. I've seen this feature on the product map since 2021, but still do not see any options or changed functionality in EB. Any updates or work arounds?

If you have the feature class in an enterprise geodatabase, you could create a spatial view that formats the fields.
