Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me get this to work.

I've added 2 webmaps to my map and I want the extents to be link.

In the Map Widget I go to Action > Add a Trigger > Extent Changes the only option is  Framework and picking a data layer.

Should the webmap not be named under the Widgets so that I can select it and use it for the extents?

Hi RachelS!

If you want the two webmaps keep the same extent before and after switching webmaps, the "extent changes" action is not what you want. The "extent changes" action is designed to trigger framework level change or other widgets' change, such as filtering the data source or opening a controller panel when "extent changes".

You can try the Swipe widget of "between webmaps" mode.

Hi @Allen_Zhang

Oh really, so is it just 'Map Switcher' it doesn't work with, because in the thread below it works switching between maps in different views.

Actions are designed to trigger OTHER widgets' change.

The thread's case is syncing extent between multiple map widgets. That's why the action works.

In your case, it's syncing extent between two webmap in one map widget.
