Is there a way to make every EXB automatically have the more info side panel collapsed when opening. It is one of the biggest red flags from my users, and I agree.

Hi Laura,

That screenshot looks to me like you are accessing your Experience Builder app via ArcGIS Sites/Hub. That panel is coming from your Sites/Hub application and not Experience Builder. The Site administrator will need to change the the Embedded Apps settings under the Interactions options.

What's the name of the widget?

The Sidebar widget Side panel settings have a default state of collapsed or expanded:

https://doc.arcgis.com/en/experience-builder/latest/configure-widgets/sidebar-widget.htm#ESRI_SECTIO...

Settings

The Sidebar widget includes the following settings:

  • Side panel—The side panel can be collapsed and expanded to show or hide its content.
    • Dock side—The dock position of the collapsible side panel.
    • Size—The size of the collapsible panel—the panel that corresponds with the dock side setting.
    • Overlay— When it's opened, the side panel covers part of the other panel.
    • Resizable—The side panel can be resized by dragging the divider.
    • Default state—Specify whether the sidebar is expanded or collapsed when end users first open the page.

It's not a widget. It's the info panel viewers see when they open

I believe a panel is a layout widget. I can't find any reference to an 'info panel' so I'm not sure what specifically you're referring to.

Is it a splash screen? Feature Info pop-up? Side/Fixed panel?

If it's a fixed panel you might be able to switch it for a sidebar panel that can be expanded/collapsed.

It is nothing I add to the app. I'm not at a computer so I can't get a picture right now. When you are logged in and open exb as a viewer you get a side panel with info on who created and you have to click the I in order to get that whole thing to collapse.

This is nothing I have personally added. Here is what it looks like

All applications automatically have this. You can see it on the left side. I saw threads on this for other apps, but not EXB. You have to click the I (more info) button in order to get this to collapse.

I am very familiar with the widgets and have added in collapsible side panels within my map. As you can see above here and in the editing side. But that info panel popups with information on who created it etc. for all of my users. I do not want that automatically expanded.

@Laura check if the table widget or side panel widget has a "collapse by default" option in the ExB Editor
