Folder contents in menu widget does not honor custom styling

It seems like the contents of a folder in the menu widget don't use the same styling as the menu itself? And you can't set that styling anywhere? I hope I'm just making a dumb mistake...
Image attached - this is EXB on Enterprise 11.4. I can't seem to control the font, color, or background of the sub-pages. Has anyone found a work around to this?
Do you have this Advanced Button? It looks like the controls you need are hidden under there.

So actually, the reason they no longer match is because I set those properties in the first place - here how it currently looks.
