Situation:
I have one map with three duplicate layers.
These are identical, other than name and symbology visibility at different zoom levels
When I zoom into the map the polygon features gradually fade as the different layers appear and disappear so the basemap can bee seen clearly beneath.
When I want to explore one class of polygon, I am able to filter 'in' one field class with a widget - which enables me to select the symbology for one of these layers - but as I zoom in and out, the unfiltered polygons re-appear.
Is there a way to create a filter so that it applies to multiple layers?

I see there is a lot of demand for this functionality - for the time being I'll delete two layers and keep an eye out for any updates.
This functionality has been requested over and over again for the past 2 years. Why is it taking so long to reproduce? Any sort of dashboard in ExB is completely useless without the ability to filter multiple layers with common attributes or spatiality.
Try setting up actions in your Map Widget so that when the Record Selection Changes it filters the data in the other two layers.
