filter widgets become orphaned?

As per protocol, I created a EB app which uses an AGOL map.  One of the layers is a large polygon layer.  Because EB does not currently have category selector widgets like Dashboards does, I was forced to painstakingly create 100+ filter widgets (accessible from a widget holder in a sidebar), in order to facilitate grouped queries.

Two questions:

  1. I created a backup or duplicate of this EB app.  This appeared to spawn a copy of my original AGOL map used in the EB app.  Is this intentional?
  2. When I changed the AGOL map used in the EB app, all of my 100+ filter widgets appeared to break and become orphaned.  I am unable to reconnect these filters to the same  layer, in a different map. Am I screwed, and forced to recreate these 100+ filter widgets?

So I think the bad news is your filters are dead. They are pointed to the wrong map and would have to be re-built.

Good news: Group Filters exist now. https://community.esri.com/t5/experience-builder-tips-and-tricks/setting-up-a-group-filter-and-filte...

Hopefully, you can make fewer filters this time.
