Experience Builder - Measurement Widget Issue

I am using ArcGIS Online Experience Builder and I added a collapsible Sidebar on top of and across the bottom portion of the map and embedded a table in that sidebar (i.e., so I can see the table or collapse when I don't want to view it).  This works great except the default Measurement widget will stop measuring at the sidebar boundary. I've tried arrange the sidebar to "the back" and I have turned of the "Overlay" option, but nothing changes.  Any suggestions?

Hi @SGolden @fitzpat_s ,

Thanks for your feedback. If I am understanding correctly, you put Measurement widget in a sidebar panel.
And when measuring, the expanded sidebar blocks you to draw when crossing the sidebar, right?

It is by design, as measurement can only happen at the visible map area. The open sidebar is a layout blocking the map, you cannot draw across. But you can choose the measure tool and then close the side bar with the tool should be still active so that you can measure as usual. Another workaround is not place Measurement widget in sidebar, but in widget controller, it doe not take a lot space and won't block measurement experience.

I am having the same issue.  The measuring tool will not go past the area the sidebar or search dropdown would occupy if it were expanded even when it is not expanded.

This should explain what's going on and how to fix it.

Thank you.  I appreciate the reply.  I figured it out yesterday.  Moral of the story, don't add sidebars to the map.

Correction: Don't add Sidebars over your Map. Add Sidebars under your Map.
