Hi everyone,
I’m encountering an issue that seems similar to a post from 2021 (Experience Builder Not Supporting Enterprise Porta... - Esri Community), and I’m wondering if anyone else has run into this recently.
I have a web map hosted on ArcGIS Online that includes data from our Enterprise portal (version 11.3). This map has been used successfully in a Web AppBuilder application for some time.
Now that Web AppBuilder is scheduled to be retired in Q1 2026, I’m rebuilding the application in Experience Builder. However, when I add the map to Experience Builder, I’m prompted with a login window asking for a username and password. Our organization uses SAML authentication, and I’m unable to proceed beyond this step.

I also tried adding the data directly via URL in Experience Builder, but that resulted in a client_id error.

The Web AppBuilder app also prompts for login, but I only need to click "OK" to access the data.

We’ve previously built Experience Builder apps using data from our Enterprise portal without any issues, so this setup has worked before.
Could this be a bug introduced in a recent Experience Builder update?
Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Maria
Hi @andreoudi,
We've received the same feedback, but can't reproduce the issue. Could you provide a test environment to help us troubleshoot? Thanks.
Thanks,
Ke
Hi @Ke_Xu,
Thank you for looking into this. I just want to clarify that the issue only appears for feature layers that are not publicly shared.
Would it be sufficient if I send you the REST URL of a test layer? If so, could you please share your email address so I can forward it to you?
Thanks in advance,
Maria
Hi @andreoudi,
Sorry for replying you late. I have sent you the URL of the test layer via private message.
Thanks,
Ke
Is there any info on a possible resolution of this? I've been encountering the same thing when I try to use a web map in Experience Builder containing layers in our Enterprise Portal. I was hoping it was something related to older layers breaking from one of server upgrades between 10-11, but I tried it with a newly publish service in a fresh web map and ExB and it gives the same Built-In login prompt instead of using the SSO automatically like loading the web map directly does.
