Elevation Profile Tool - endpoint connection required

The current elevation profile widget within ArcGIS Experience builder allows users to select multiple lines, but only if they connect at their endpoints. This widget would be much more helpful if users could select multiple lines that connect at any vertex.

The example in the elevation profile widget documentation is hiking trails. "For example, select multiple connected trail segments in a row to get the complete profile for planning a hike. Connected segments are highlighted." Some hiking trails connect endpoint to endpoint. However, most hiking loops are created by joining sections of trails with junctions somewhere along their midpoints.

Here's a screenshot as an example. Trail 27A connects to several trails, but the only option to select in the elevation profile tool is Trail 20. https://arcg.is/0CPK8r
