Near Me widget selection

I'm trying to use the Near Me widget in Experience Builder in order to select features within a certain proximity, which works well. After the point is chosen though, when the results are returned, is there any way to remove specific results from the selection of the Near Me widget specifically? I want to download the results as CSV which the widget allows but it seemingly doesn't let us unselect a specific feature from the results before downloading the CSV.

Visually, this is what it looks like after using the NearMe tool. Basically, what I'm asking is if there a way to unselect one of those selected features with the yellow squares.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi @DhavalJani ,

So you want to remove one of the results so that does not get included in the downloaded file? If I understand your question correctly, unfortunately there is no functionality in Near Me to do that.

Why do you want to remove some results?

Hey @AzizaParveen1,

We want to give the user the ability to unselect the features based on looking at separate fields of the features (maybe they decide a feature in the corner shouldn't be selected since it's of a certain type or the visual location on the map). It's for a mailing noticing list, similar to the Noticing Instant app. The widget itself shows what the image I attached, so I was hoping to ideally have the functionality for users to just unselect the ones they don't want. And then download the CSV. Is there another way this could be possible?

Hi @DhavalJani ,

I am not aware of any such data action that can accomplish this.

Let me talk to the team and see if this is something we can add. I will update this thread when I have an answer.

Thank you for sharing your workflow.

@DhavalJani if you know you want to unselect results based on specific field field value, you can use filter widget (similar to what Jeffrey suggested but Near Me can work with filter widget directly, you do not need to bring the results to List widget).

But you mention in your post that you can also look at the location of a feature and unselect based on their location, do you mean to this manually?

Yes, the filtering method with the List widget would somewhat work, but ideally, I wanted to be able to have users unselect a feature manually as you mentioned. This could be something arbitrary or based on location, so filtering wouldn't necessarily be full proof.

Understood, I will see if we can provide an option for this. Thanks for the clarification.

Try using the Near Me results as the datasource for a List Widget. Then the users can apply a filter to the results before exporting.
