Hello,

I'm currently developing an experience where the public will add a pinned location within the map and add comments for that pinned location.  I have tried the following...

  1. Survey Widget - this option I thought would work initially however, you have to use the map within the survey form and not the main map, to add a pin.  This is quite confusing for general public use and not a solution that is workable.
  2. Edit Widget - This option seems to be close to what I need however, there is a lot of unnecessary items in the widget that are confusing for people that aren't familiar with editings.  For example, there is a settings toggle that is not useful and the edit features option isn't needed and shouldn't be shown as I have it setup to disappear once the pinned location is set as I don't want pinned comments from other people to be seen.

My question is, has anyone come up with a better option for recording locations & comments within experience builder?  Thanks.

I believe that using the Survey123 widget, you can create a connection between the map and the survey to pass data.  I could see you passing the location on the map to the survey record.  There are a few fields that would help in this case for recording that information, and you can always "hide" them on the survey itself, so that your users don't see the map, but the information is still recorded on the backend.
