Hi all,

I am looking to build an Experience Builder for my company's survey department in which they can add their data from a .CSV file directly onto a map using the Add Data widget. However, I am running into some problems in getting this to work.

The location data in the .CSV file is in northing/easting and while the widget allows for this data to be added as a table with no issues, I can't seem to get this data to project on the map. Does Experience Builder have this functionality, or am I out of luck? Preferably we would not like our survey department to have to change how they're formatting their data, we would like them to be able to drop their spreadsheet into the Experience Builder and be easily able to see their data plotted.

Thanks.

You can use the 'Add to Map' data action to achieve your intended goal. Notably, you can always remove the added layer by clicking the 'Clear Results' button at the bottom right of the Map.

Hi Tian,

This function does not work when the location data is in northings and eastings captured in a state plane coordinate system. In fact, I opened a support case with ESRI and was told this was a limitation of Experience Builder at the time, even with a custom basemap that is a state plane coordinate system. The "add to map" data action is not even available when you upload a spreadsheet in which the location data is in northings and eastings from a state plane coordinate system. That data action is only available when the location data is in decimal degrees. Is this something ESRI plans on rectifying in the future?
