I'm a little slow on the uptake and just now realized I can use VW as font size unit for the Text widget. This MADE MY WEEK since ExB apps are invariably used on all size screens from 13" to 43" and nobody understands why things "don't look the right size".

(I do often have a splash screen with a hint on using Ctrl+scroll to zoom in browser, which helps, but not everybody bothers to read. 🤣)

SO NOW I am able to much better accommodate people's screen sizes with text widgets! THANK YOU Esri!!

I would L-U-V LOVE to see VW unit available for e.g. Button and Menu widgets as well! I use a lot of buttons even for things like the app title because of the mouseover effects built-in. The font size consistency across screen sizes would be astronomical and I would be one step closer to world domination. 😁

Yeah I've been reading recently that there is some writing on the dangers of using VW units especially for text sizing, because of how it works with that zoom feature you mentioned and accessibility.

But I have seen this issue a lot in recent years.  Many agencies have long time, perhaps older employees, who aren't even aware you can zoom in a browser.  I don't know what unit type in theory it would allow, but if it would probably be a scenario they would want to test.

here's an example article:

(that may be behind a registration wall, but here's a similar article: https://chipcullen.com/dont-use-viewport-units-for-font-size-on-their-own/#:~:text=A%20quick%20point....)
