The Daylight Tool inside the 3D-Toolbox widget doesn't allow to set a default date. Currently it honors the date which is saved in the 3D-Webscene. This may be sometime in the past, when it's not updatet regularly. For our purposes the default date should be the current date of today, as this has been a feedback of multiple clients of ours. This is already implemented like this in the shadowcast-tool, which is also part of the 3D-Toolbox widget.
