Please add a Data Aggregation Widget to Experience Builder.
I work for a state agency that coordinates the collection of all sea turtle nesting information around the state of Florida. We have embraced ArcGIS Online to create data collection tools and applications for data management to streamline the collection and submission of required data.
In 2024, over 180,000 records were submitted by sea turtle permit holders and their volunteers. In addition, several permit holders used their own ArcGIS Online organizational accounts to collect the same, often enhanced, data for their beaches. To integrate nesting data from these partners, we used the Data Aggregation widget, adding an additional 70,000 records for the season. For the 2025 season we expect that number to increase to at least 125,000 records, representing approximately half of the data collected statewide. Our partners found it very easy to add their data using this tool, including those who are not familiar with GIS.
Unfortunately, the retirement of Web App Builder is throwing a wrench in our works. We have been looking for a replacement for the Data Aggregation widget with no luck. Two solutions provided by ESRI won't work for this project (Feature Service Settings>Update Data>Add data and ArcGIS Pro>Data Management Toolbox>Append) for security and data management reasons - we cannot allow inexperienced users, especially from outside our agency, to have access to the feature service's settings.
Recreating the Data Aggregation widget into Experience Builder would allow us to continue this important project and help protect these important species.
