At Esri User Conference in San Diego this year, many of you asked for the plans for ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and ArcGIS Experience Builder. We have now shared the following plans under What are the current plans for ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and ArcGIS Experience Builder at Frequently Asked Questions on the product page.

"ArcGIS Web AppBuilder leverages version 3.x of the ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and we continue to maintain the product within the limitation of the technology. ArcGIS Experience Builder is built on the latest web technology and version 4.x of the ArcGIS API for JavaScript. Thus, it offers optimized performance, and enables an extensive suite of capabilities far beyond what version 3.x of the ArcGIS API and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder provide, such as mobile optimization, 2D and 3D in one app, flexible design, custom workflows, and integration with other ArcGIS apps.

Moving forward, development efforts will be focused on bringing functional parity from ArcGIS Web AppBuilder to ArcGIS Experience Builder. While ArcGIS Web AppBuilder will continue to be available as an option for building new web apps, we recommend that you first evaluate whether ArcGIS Experience Builder will meet your application requirements and strategy. All your ArcGIS Web AppBuilder apps that you have built will continue to work and will be supported by Esri."

To help move your apps from Web AppBuilder to Experience Builder, we have published a video demonstrating how to re-create an existing WAB app using Experience Builder step-by-step, and what you can do more to improve the app using Experience Builder such as optimizing the app on mobile and viewing 3D and 2D maps.

In addition, the functionality matrix for both products is shared in the community, providing information for your migration strategy and a glance of widgets migration status.

Lastly, the Helpful resources to get you started document in the community is updated to include a full list of blogs, videos, learn lessons, user stories, FAQ, gallery, etc.

The  video demonstrating how to re-create an existing WAB app using Experience Builder is excellent.  I highly recommend it to all Esri users that have built WAB apps.  Choosing a parcel viewer app for the demonstration was a great choice.  Most jurisdictions publish a parcel viewer app.

Thanks,

Bernie.

The video links are not working for me... the html page that loads is incomplete.  Not sure if it's my companies firewall filtering or if the sites or down.  Is anyone else experience this?

@rhughes522 ,

        I loaded the page and watched the video this morning with no problem.  The image you shared indicates that your browser is not loading the .css styling for the page.  It could be an aggressive firewall rule blocking the CSS.  Can you load the same page on your phone?  It should work there.

@berniejconnors

Hey, yes the site does load on my mobile app device.  I will request that our IT unblock the urls that are being blocked.  Looks like some css and js.  Thank you for responding and getting me to check it out.  I needed that.
