I have ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server, both at 10.3.1 version, up and running on the same (production) machine. Now I need to upgrade them at 10.4.1, so I would ask what is the best practice to accomplish this task.
Which software has to be upgraded first? Server or Desktop?
The order specifically for those two products doesn't really matter, you can upgrade either one first. If you have a hosting server, then the order matters, which is outlined here.
