Stanford University has had several systems to manage spatial information with interactive maps and portals. Although the systems are very robust and were cutting edge when implemented years ago, they are now outdated and need to be upgraded/revamped.
We are beginning an exciting phase of revisiting our various systems and solutions that support location information. This includes interactive mapping application as well web portals for location aware data and associated documents. It is evident that the first major initiative is in defining our requirements across the University and formulating a master plan for the various components and initiatives.
Do you have recommendations for unbiased consultants that have helped drive this strategic development of a master plan for location intelligence. We believe that a third party vendor not associated with a specific product would provide the best impartial results.
Would appreciate your input and suggestions!
