Problem configuring Data Store

Hi

I have installed ArcGIS Data Store on 2 servers ( primary and a failover Secondary ) but when I try to configure the second data store on the second server,  I get the following error "  Attempt to configure data store failed. Extended error message:  Connection timed out while waiting for the primary data store machine to become available". 

The data store on primary site was configured without any error.

Problem solved, 

there was a network issue,

You will also get this error if you configure your standby datastore using a different ArcGIS Servcie Account then the one being used by the primary datastore. If this is the case you can uninstall the standby datastore and re-install using the correct account.
