Hi

I've made a copy of the Export Web Map tool and set a arcgis server connection

The user for this connection is added to the role at the server and can access the secure services.

When i use my custom print service i get an execution failed.
The server log says:
Error executing tool.: Layer "Kabel": Failed to create layer from service at (and a complete list of my secure layers)
When i remove the secure layers the print task completes and shows the basemap just fine in a pdf.

What is wrong?

Hi, is this relevant to what you're trying to do?

Click the plus (+) button and browse to the GIS server connection containing the secured services you will print.

The connection needs to have the name and password saved within it. It should be a user connection, not a publisher or administrative connection.

Hi Jacob,

1. I'm assuming you're working with 10.1, is that correct?
2. It also looks like you're authenticating using a Windows user, is that also correct?
3. Do you have authentication defined at the GIS tier or at the Web Tier, and do you use tokens?

Yes i did, i ended up adding the user defined in the print service to the admin role on my AGS (the user was in a role with user privileges before)
