Hi everyone,
@JonathanQuinn @JakeSkinner @DerekLaw @George_Thompson @jcarlson @JayantaPoddar @RandallWilliams @ChristopherPawlyszyn
I’ve completed Esri’s advanced ArcGIS Enterprise deployment courses, but I still struggle with the foundational networking and IT concepts that Enterprise relies on. I don’t come from a systems‑admin background, so topics like DNS, firewalls/ports, certificates, load balancers, and proxies are still unclear to me.
My current environment:
If you know any beginner‑friendly resources (online courses other than ESRI or a structured path that helped you or your team, I’d appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks!
Hussain

Hi Hussain,
In addition to our three websites which were added by @LavanyaVasudevanNES, there are a lot of courses available online. To name a few:
Fundamentals of computer networking - Training | Microsoft Learn
Network Firewalls for Beginners - With Hands-On Labs
The Complete SSL and TLS Guide: HTTP to HTTPS
Although HTTP might not be needed anymore 😂
Implement NGINX Web Servers and Reverse Proxy Solutions | Coursera
Windows - Windows Server Administration Fundamentals | Microsoft Learn
Linux - Introduction to Linux (LFS101) - Linux Foundation - Education
Regards,
Glen
