Is it possible to migrate feature class layers from an ArcMap Geodatabase to an ArcGIS Enterprise Database and preserve true arcs? We’re in the process of migrating to ArcPro and the process we’re using is exploding all the arcs into a dozen or so small line segments. This is not only frustrating for the users but also requires far more database storage space. Thank you for your help and advice.
Can you provide some more details, like:
Hi George,
We're migrating file geodatabase layers from ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.2 to Enterprise geodatabase. We're running ArcGIS Pro 3.5.1. The layers contain lines or polygons drawn with lines and arcs. The layers are being packaged and then sent to the GIS dept for integration into the Enterprise geodatabase. I am not in the IT Dept. I'm one of the users; so I can't give any more info than that. I suspect that packaging the layers is what is causing the change to the data. Is there a way to move the layers from my file geodatabase into the Enterprise geodatabase without loss of the true arcs? Thank you.

Can you provide more detail on your process from migrating from a file gdb(s) to an enterprise gdb for your data, as this process should not cause you to lose true arcs that you spent time to generate?
What specific tools are you using for this process?
Why do you believe true arcs are not being preserved?
