hi all,

i've created tiled map service with png/jpeg tiles in exploded storage format.

But the result cache files are not georeferenced.

Is it possible to determine during publishing process parameters for creating georeferenced cache files?

or is there any tool for georeferencing after publishing, besides manual way?

thanks

Normally, the service inherits whatever the data frame coordinate system was set to in the ArcMap mxd.

And this would usually be Web Mercator (WKID 3857).

Are you saying that your original was not georeferenced?

there is no problem with displaying the map with right coordinate system in server manager.  I need to use the jpeg tiles out of the server, to convert them to raster layer in arcmap catalog. It seems that ArcGis server georeference the tiles only for displaying the map in server manager.

But result jpeg files in cache folder have no spacial reference and it's about big amount of small jpeg/png file, that make it clumsy to georeference each of them manualy.

I am sure it would be extremely difficult to back georeference all those jpeg tiles.

But, excuse me, why do you need to do this. Where is the original imagery from which the tile cache was created?
