My org has upgraded some enterprise GIS virtual servers to vmWare 12.5.x and now geoprocessing services such as a custom print service no longer work.
Has anyone encountered this issue?
We encountered this issue today as well. Currently rolling back to 12.4.5, per Esri's Support post from November.
It seems like the workaround to add an environmental variable is easier than reverting software, as auto updates could update the version again to a problematic version.
As such what is the disadvantage to adding an environmental variable to solve this issue?
Our network team decided that reverting was easier for us instead of the alternative option. It keeps our three server machines closer aligned with how the many other VMs across the company are configured. We have the auto updates disabled for now until a new version with the bug fix comes out.
Yes, we've encountered the same and just finished rolling back to 12.4.5. All print services are now back up and running again.
