We are currently running 10.1 and I created a new f.c. in an existing dataset in our enterprise gdb. I have been doing a lot of editing on the layer. The problem I am having is that when I try to preview the layer in ArcCatalog it does not display the geography. However i can view all the records in the table. When I go to the properties of the layer and click on the xy coordinates system tab it shows it as having the correct coordinates as all the other layers in the dataset. However it is grayed out and I can't select it. In fact all the layers under this dataset has the xy coordinates grayed out under the coordinates tab. But the new layer I created is the only one that will not display in Catalog.
And when I add the new layer first to ArcMap it will not display. However all the other layers if I had them first to ArcMap will display properly.
Any suggestions to get the layer to behave properly would be greatly appreciated.
